How to use photos and records
The core purpose of CapKnow is to help you understand and preserve your findings. Photos and records are used to generate results, display history, support searches, create sharing cards, and handle retry or crash feedback. We will not use your photos for public examples, marketing materials, or purposes unrelated to the current service without your explicit consent.
Local storage and cloud processing
CapKnow will save the experience records and image derivative files for display locally on the device. To complete an image processing, the App may send the image you selected to the server or service provider; we will try to reduce the size of the uploaded image and remove source metadata such as EXIF when feasible. MVP does not request location permission by default; if you fill in a scene or location tag, the information is saved as part of the local record and does not appear in the share card by default.
Share and make public
Your information is private by default. Only when you actively export, copy, send or share it publicly will the content leave your device or be seen by others. Please check whether it contains private locations, faces, photos of children, family environment, documents, tickets, addresses or other sensitive information before sharing.
How we share information
We will not sell your personal information. We may share necessary information in the following circumstances: to provide hosting, image processing, customer support, crash diagnosis and other service providers with information needed to complete the service; to process App Store subscriptions, purchases, and refunds through Apple; to disclose under legal, regulatory, dispute handling, or security protection requirements; or to recipients based on your actions when you actively share content.
Keep, delete and export
You can delete individual records, original images, or local data in the app. Deleting a record will remove its history and search entries on the current device; deleting the original image may affect reprocessing the same record later. The data export feature in settings can be used to export a snapshot of local records. Support requests will generally be retained for a reasonable period after processing is completed in order to track the issue and comply with necessary legal obligations.
safe
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including minimization of processing, access restrictions, transmission protection and fault monitoring. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is guaranteed to be completely secure, so please handle sensitive images and notes with caution.
minor
Minors should use it under the guidance of their parents or guardians and avoid uploading sensitive content that can identify them, their family or their school environment.
Cross-border processing
Depending on your region, service providers used and infrastructure location, information may be processed outside of your country or region. We will take reasonable protective measures as required by applicable law.
Policy updates
We may update this policy due to changes in products, services or legal requirements. Major changes will be prompted in an appropriate manner within the website or app. Continued use of CapKnow indicates that you have read the updated policy.
